Archery!!!! OMG! One of my anniversary presents was Archery lessons! What an amazing feeling of focus, manifestation and determination. Since I was a little girl I have always admired the archers in stories from Robin Hood to Legolas archers were always my favorite. So when I found out that we had archery lessons Friday afternoon I couldn't stop smiling.
We pulled up to Artemis Archery and I knew the Goddess was smiling down on me at this moment. The woman who taught our lesson was super cool and very instructive. She was full of powerful and positive energy and we connected on so many levels. She does a lot for female empowerment and even follows the same spiritual path as I do. I was thrilled to get the much needed information for my journey, as well as get an invitation to future events in the name of the Goddess. Words can not express what this means to me.
As I learned about the bow and loosing my arrows I realized how natural it felt. I realize that the one hobby I have always wanted to learn, but have been afraid that I wouldn't be good at it, turned out to be the right one for me. Go figure, lesson learned. Thanks universe for showing me how not to give into my fears and insecurities. It was so motivating to focus on a goal and let the arrow hit it. I got three bull's eyes in a row and I even hit the zombie in the head!!! Whoot Whoot! I felt like such a bad ass, letting my inner darkness come out and play.
We had such a great experience that as the lesson closed and we exchanged information with Alexandria, the boy and I decided this was going to be a regular thing. The rest of the day was filled with talk about our future Bows and archery dates. It was fantastic. (cont.-->)
After our archery lesson we headed back to mosey in downtown Asheville. It was absolutely adorable. Vintage, Metaphysical, Hippie shops, you name it. So much for me to take in, I wanted to stop in every place. Thank goodness I had my Virgo with me, I can always count on him to help me from getting overwhelmed. ::giggles:: ::giggles:: We stopped at the amazing Chocolate Lounge which had chocolate on every wall and shelf space available! The chocolate was pure, organic and mostly fair trade, I was in chocolate haven.
We ended our night at one of the most amazing tea houses ever, Dobra Tea! Our archery teacher Alexandria recommended this place to us and it was everything and more I could have asked for. Tiny tables with little bells, the amazing smell of flowers, spices and essential oils in the air.
The Menu was a binder full of stories and teas, I wanted to try them all. I ended up getting the Long Jing-Dragon Well Tea, known for granting wishes. yup, I bought some to take home too, hehe! We kept coming back to this place throughout our trip.
Pearson falls and Wildlife Friends
The second day of our trip I couldn't wait to get out and explore some more. We decided to go for a hike up in the mountains and take in some of the wonderful nature in the area. We found Pearson's falls, which was about 20-30min from Asheville. The trail and waterfall were absolutely beautiful and it was super nice to be surrounded by woods and water again. Being from and area where icicles aren't really a thing, I made sure to take a ton of pictures of the frozen water whenever I came across it. .
After our hike as we headed back down towards the city I randomly googled top things to do in Asheville, and a wildlife center popped up. Now I'm not usually one to support animals in captivity but a center for rehabilitation and release, sure! After letting the boy know we made the appropriate calculations and headed to see some animals. I was super excited and couldn't wait to get out the car.
After the wildlife center we headed back to Downtown Asheville to enjoy our last night there. Walking around the lit streets, snow flurries falling and tea in hand. I had such an amazing time and I am so grateful to have received this trip, full of inspiration and motivation. Mo look forward to our next adventure together.
