Today I was hit with a bountiful load of blessings. Things were shifting towards me in such a beautiful way that at one moment I just paused and teared up a bit. I remember just a year ago I was sitting in a toxic work environment and thinking to myself how far away my dreams seemed. Now I am closer to them than ever before. I have realized that being grateful everyday for what I have and what I receive has given me the power to become a magnet for opportunity. Then it got me thinking about some of the amazing things I have had happen throughout my life. I have had some amazing adventures and so many wonderful experiences. Even those that were a bit on the unpleasant side, still have helped me achieve great things. I wanted to share some of my top favorite memories of best days ever!
It is so hard to sum up some of my very best days because in a span of 20 plus years, (not including the years I was to young to really remember) I have had some pretty epic memories. For example, one of the earliest epic memories I have, was when my parents through a carnival for my fifth birthday. Pretty wild right? But hey I will always remember that. to top it all off they were on an all nighter flight returning from Hawaii. I am a very sentimental person, memories are something I hold on to very dearly. This is why you will always see me taking pictures and carrying my journal wherever I go. When I get older I want to look back on my life and say, holy poop I did all that!? With the help of social media we can do that all the time. If I ever feel blue or depressed I go and look through my photos on FB or Instagram. I am instantly reminded of where I've been and how far I have come. Try it out for yourself, it can be a real gratitude booster.
I remember back through my twenties I thought how hard the world was, how lonely I felt and so desperate for life around me. I was in one toxic relationship after another, which brought me to one bad decision after another. The crazy thing is I wouldn't change much if I could. While there are bad and some horrible memories, what came of myself when I pushed through and made my way. I look back and think of how much I have gained in my life and how every experience prepared me for my future, (and my present, thats life right?).
That's how it goes, you take the bad with the good. Learn from mistakes, failure and rough spots. Grow with each lesson and celebrate all the good things in your life.I am finally starting to get what all my favorite inspirational books were talking about. I am a big fan and super addicted to inspirational and motivational reads, you can never go wrong with a little boost now and again. Live each day and dare to dream, dare to do, and dare to create a life that it yours.
foSo tonight after you have read this blog I encourage you to write down some of your memories, look through your pictures, or just sit with a nice cup of tea and reminisce. Start making a habit out of saying or writing down things that you are grateful for each day. When we speak about our gratitudes and all that we are grateful for, we attract like minded things. This is how we create abundance and prosperity in all levels of our lives.

There are always going to be speed bumps and bad days, that's the balance of life. But if you learn from the bad days and look at them as a chance to do better, then in the end they won't seem so bad. Yesterday, was one of those days where as the night was closing in I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude. Gratitude for the weekend that I had, the weeks that have passed and growing years of happiness. It has taken me a while to get where I am and I know that I am just going to keep moving forward. I just sat on our couch and smiled as I looked out the window.
About two weeks ago a friend of mine invited me to a special yoga event at the Four Seasons Atlanta, hosted in their penthouse over looking the Atlanta skyline. I jumped at the chance, I knew this was something I needed to do. Many of you might remember me writing about how much I love Yoga and what it's done for me, you can review it here ---> Finding the power of yoga. I have always wanted to go to a yoga event and couldn't wait to go.
Yesterday, jumping out of bed and running around my apartment with excitement waiting for my friend to get to our apartment. i probably changed my outfit three times. I mean, yoga at the Four Seasons, i should probably look somewhat dressy right? Well, in the end I decided that it was a better idea to be comfy for yoga, and I had to throw in my sense of humor by wearing my Pug life tank. As my friend and I pulled up to the hotel we were greeted with a super awesome bell boy with a Fedora, and as he took the car, we couldn't help but to squeal in excitement, we made it.
The service didn't stop there, as we walked in to the hotel lobby we were met by the event hostess who lead us to the next stop and escorted us personally to the special elevator. We were on our way up, jumping around and reciting the pretty woman elevator scene the whole time. The doors opened and yet another host to show us around the penthouse and let us know where everything was. It was beautiful. Yoga mats perfectly aligned, cucumber water fountain, smoothie bar complete with snacks, and fantastic 360 views of Atlanta. We got there a bit early so we got to meet the beautiful Chelsea, sign in, and pick our perfect spot. It was so exciting.
Once the yoga session started I was instantly transported into a place of absolute "zen". Chelsea was amazingly talented and I absolutely loved her yoga sequences and transitions. At first I was nervous because I hadn't been to a class in a while, but after the first few minutes my confidence rose and I began to let go. After an hour and a half I was completely rejuvenated and was full of inspiration. I just kept repeating my affirmations, "I am where I'm supposed to be, I am perfect the way I am, I am here, i am present," and so on.
After the yoga session they had set up a smoothie bar and healthy snacks to help boost us back up with energy and feel all yummy inside. As my friend and I were leaving, of course not before taking silly selfies up in the penthouse ( I mean who wouldn't?), we both were saying how going to this session on top of the world really showed us that we are on our way. by taking our leap, even though it's hard and slow sometimes, it has the most wonderful rewards. We just completed a yoga class...in a penthouse...in a fancy hotel...for only a few people! Omg!! I felt so big and bad waltzing out the door! I can't wait for the next adventure!
Epic things happen while camping
So this past weekend the boyfriend and I got invited to join some friends for a camping trip. Now I come from a family of glampers. We have always camped in either a Rv or cabin. Most of my friends joke about when I go on vacations I turn into Princess Vespa from Space Balls. I have dabbled in the art of camping, my first major adult camp trip was to Counterpoint festival a few years ago. I was so excited, I had my first big girl tent, and I decorated it with wind chimes, glow stars and even had a light. I was so proud. I can honestly say with the help of my boyfriend I have successfully leveled up on my camping.
The site wasn't that far away, about two hours east from Atlanta, but we had an added does of sarcastic awesome when we got stuck in traffic almost the whole way there. This put us in nowheresville in the dark of the night. Thank goodness for flashlights, friends and good communication. Since we didn't get there till dark we weren't really able to see the campsite and all it's glory at first. So we settled in, and sat around the fire pit sharing stories and meeting new friends.
Friday night was a real wake up call on camping in the fall. Even though I thought I was prepared for cold weather camping, I clearly wasn't. Around 2:30am I woke up freezing, having to pee and realizing that trying to put on clothes half asleep in a tent is for sure an adventure. Quite comical actually. Saturday morning as the sun rose I was lifted out of sleep by both the sounds of nature and the sounds of laughter. Everyone joking about the same exact things. Whew!
As the sun rose the view from our tent was so beautiful it reminded me of why I wanted to go in the first place. After getting dressed, sipping some coffee and learning how to brush my teeth in the wild, I was ready for some outdoor adventuring. The weather was so perfect, a beautiful 70 degrees and was perfect for bringing my Spirit Hood out from hibernating.
What's your favorite way to practice yoga? What type of tools do you like to use? One of my favorite things about yoga is you can create a cleared space anywhere. I did a blog a few weeks back about finding the power of yoga, and how it helped me. Today while setting up for my practice, I was filled with an overwhelming sense of gratitude. I keep having messages pop up reassuring me about my manifestations coming to fruition. I am so exciting and happy to be a witness to them.

So I'm sitting here, drinking my tea, listening to the water fountains and I am filled with an overwhelming sense of gratitude. I just finished my gratitude, attitude and visualization meditation, so I'm super relaxed and filled with inspiration. Earlier today I re-watched the documentary, The Secret and was instantly inspired to practice my power of manifestation. I remember when I was in my early twenties and the book came out I read it with a spirit of speculation. So of course at first it didn't work, well it worked but in the total opposite of the way I wanted it to. I was manifesting nothing but hardcore experiences, meant to teach me life lessons. Then I reread it about six years ago and it changed my entire outlook on the book and the Law of Attraction. I finally understood what was going on. You see I was focusing on nothing but the negative or things that I didn't want, so the universe gave me exactly that.
You see the Universe can't tell the difference between what we want and what we don't want. It just knows what is and what is yet to come. This is why you hear a lot of spiritual gurus speaking about living in the present moment. By living in the moment you are allowing yourself to emit powerful energy of gratitude and happiness. The Universe hears/feels this and reflects back. Now occasionally I have hiccups and bad days, I am only human, but I do try to live each day as if it is another miracle. Because it is just that, a miracle.
New Moon and Magic
I am so excited about tonight's new moon! A friend of mine earlier said I was just glowing when I was telling her about it. I mean how could I not? New moons are great for setting intentions, releasing burdens and attracting that which we desire. This new moon is especially exciting because it is in Libra. This helps us focus on new beginnings, relationships, and the energy of balance. It is time to plant your seeds of intentions for where you want to grow.
One of my favorite things to do on both the new moon and a full moon is have a release and attraction ritual allowing my dreams to be set up into the universe to manifest for my highest purpose. This is also a lot of fun for two main reasons, 1) I love to set my intentions a flame in my tiny little cauldron, (how fun is that) and 2) because once we release our intentions out into the universe we allow ourselves to be released from the burden of worrying about them.
When you are continuously focused on the problem or what you don't want, the solution can be blurry or you will just keep attracting the things that make you un happy. You see the universe/Divine can not distinguish between want and don't want. It only knows what is, that is why you will always here us healers speak about manifestation in the present tense. Act like you have and you shall receive. This also works with gratitude, speak about that which you do have and more will come of the same.
Another great thing to do during the new moon is cutting those cords. We all have energetic cords attached to us that link us between each other. I recently helped a friend of mine with removing some of her cords that were attached without her knowing. We attach cords to others and get cords attached to us by a few ways; 1) Speaking ill about someone (vice versa), 2) thinking about a person constantly, 3) toxic relationships, 4) psychic attacks and 5) we can even have cords linked by obsession or over thinking.
So how do we remove them? You can remove cords by physically taking your hand and brushing the front of your body with the intention of removal. One of my favorite tools to use for this is my sage and feather. I allow the sage to clear the energy and I use my feather to run over my body and imagine the cords cutting loose. While I do this I repeat three times, "I remove any cords I have attached, I remove any unwanted cords that have been attached to me, and I send love, light and peace." Depending on the strength of the connection you may have to repeat this a few times over the lunar cycle.
Now the fun part for us mini pyros! Setting your intentions free. If you remember few months ago I spoke about doing this for the Full moon. Grab some paper, a pen, crystals, something to sit on and a burn safe bowl (or cauldron ::giggles::). One one side of the paper take a moment to write your list of things you would like to release from your life, self or mind. These can be anything from self confidence issues, ex boyfriends, or even the removal of fear. On the other side write out your list of things you would like to attract into your life, such as new jobs, healthier relationships, clients, etc.
Finally on another sheet of paper you are going to write out your intentions for the future. Make sure to stay present, positive, and specific. For example; "I am a magnet for opportunities and success", "I am a strong and confident leader and help others achieve their goals", or "I am the owner of the house at 1234 We sing lane". <--- Bonus points if you can tell me what that address is from in the comments below. When you are all done, read your items out and then burn them. As you watch the smoke rise say a little closing remark. I usually say, I release my intentions for my highest good and purpose. I allow the universe/Divine to guide me and know that they have my back.
Before you go to bed tonight, after your little ceremony, as you close your eyes, ask to be shown a message. This could be a message with an answer to a questions, a sign for the future, or even a phone call from that job you've been waiting for.

Your Tribe and making friends
Imagine a tribe of women getting together to empower one another. Sounds epic right? That's what it is like when you have a group of amazing power house females as your friends, supporters, partners and mentors. A tribe is a close nit group sharing in goals, tasks, and helping to take care of one another for the progression of the group. Often you will hear me talk about supporting and empowering others. When we work with each other we are far more powerful than we are by ourselves. No don't get me wrong, there are still some things you will have to do on your own, but what I am talking about is letting go of the need to compete. There are two main forms of competition; healthy and negative competition. Confused? Don't be. Healthy competition is when you work smarter, take action and share your work progressively. Negative competition is full of envy, stress, and can lead to extremely high arrogance levels. Having a positive tribe of successful women will help you to eliminate fear, negativity and jealousy. Why? Because they are set on working together to achieve success for everyone in the group.
Women are natural born leaders and sharers. When we are passionate about something we can't help but to tell our friends and family about. think back to the last thing you shared, was it a movie, skirt, restaurant, or yoga class you took. How easy was it for you to get excited and ant to tell the world about it? That's exactly what having a tribe is all about, sharing. We share in each others accomplishments, failures and even laughable mistakes. Then together we pick back up and get back in the saddle.
What was it like when I first met my ever-growing tribe members and friends?
We are so lucky to have the ability to make friends. I love making friends, getting to know someone and seeing all the ways we are compatible. When I first started gathering my tribe members I remember it like it was yesterday. The woman that changed my life, she is practically my head wife of my tribe. It was on the night of an ex's birthday and this 5'2" power house of a personality woman came marching through the door. The first thing she said to me was, "Oh, you need to dump him and be my friend". At first I was baffled that she said that and of course I didn't listen to her, but we were friends ever since. Now flash forward a few years and she is still by my side helping me through the crazy times of my life. She is the one that taught me about creating a tribe of powerful women.
I have met some of my friends and tribe mates at parties, through jobs, clients, and even through social media. One of my favorite ways I met one of them was when I was at a part several years ago and danced in a huge bookshelf with this cool chick with purple hair. I knew that I was meant to meet her but it wasn't the right time, for we never got each others numbers. Flash forward to a few years later. I was sitting on the bed with one of my best friends, (married to my play big brother), and I was telling her the story of the dancing bookshelf girl. Guess what? It was her! We just sat there laughing for over an hour at the fact that we had been friends at this point for two years and had no idea it was each other from the party. So case in point, the universe will totally hand you your tribe ladies.
Friends are like soul partners that come into our life at the right moments and guide us through life's uncertainties. They help us learn lessons, support and love us unconditionally. Sometimes they are in our lives until we die and sometimes they are only there for a short time to guide us through a rough spot. Either way we are blessed by their friendship.

Strong, Beautiful and Extremely Powerful
I am one of those people who absolutely loves movies, from costumes to set design, to the stories themselves, movies have always inspired me. So when my boyfriend came home a few months ago with Maleficent to say I was ecstatic would be an understatement. Pulling inspiration from movies is one of the easiest ways we can motivate ourselves. Just this past weekend I was chatting with a friend of mine about how the book and movie Eat, Pray, Love inspired us to start our healing journey. I told her how after reading the book I went to see the movie and I can still remember the feeling I had as the credits started to roll by. I don't know what it was but by the time I was half way through with the movie I was in tears full of womanly admiration and felt a strong connection to the character. It may seem silly but try and think of a movie that when you watch it you get an overwhelming sense of happiness. You just get that feeling of excitement as the opening songs come on. That's how I feel with my favorite movies, especially Maleficent.
Maleficent embodies what we as women all go through, youth, insecurities, heartbreak, understanding, love and forgiveness, not to mention eventually motherhood in some form or another. Throughout the movie you follow her earning and growth and are taught the many lessons that life hands us. That is why I admire this film so much, it is a great one for women to pull inspiration from. I mean who wouldn't want to stand up in front of a bully in full black with green smoke all around them, talk about an impression. But in all seriousness, what is the real meaning of the movie? Maleficent is strong and beautiful, she was betrayed and broken hearted but with the help of her unwanted Godchild, Aurora, and her faithful crow, Maleficent was able to turn herself around.
