About two years ago while at a Tree House hostel, I was given the chance to taste, Happy Tea, or Goji Berry tea! Happy Tea is a combination of coconut oil, water, and Goji berries and It was one of the most amazing things I have ever tried. Goji berries have long been enjoyed in China and the Himalayas for their sweet taste and healthy living qualities. Goji Berries are nicknamed "happy berries" because of the wellbeing they are said to give, but mostly for helping you to smile more. Most people that eat Goji berries notice that their energy increases and that they help to lower blood pressure and even cases of libido levels being raised
As a medicine, Goji berries have been used to treat eye, liver and kidney illnesses as well as diabetes, vertigo and menopausal side effects. Goji berries contain 18 amino acids, 6 monosaccharides, unsaturated fatty acids, including the essential fatty acids, linoleic acid and alpha-linolenic acid, beta-sitosterol and other phytosterols. The berries are also a great source of antioxidants, Vitamins B and C, Which can help protect you against chemical reactions in the body.
When I have a rough day or need a little pick me up and always grab my bag of Goji berries and make myself some tea! I even have a baggy of them in my purse to take with me where ever I go.. Below you'll find the recipe for this amazing tea, I hope you'll love it as much as I do!
Grab your favorite Tea Cup and get read to drink the potion of the Gods!
That;s it! Wait till the berries are plump and the tea is fully seeped and enjoy your happy tea! Bonus, Goji berries are super yummy once they have plumped and soaked in Coconut oil. Enjoy!
