How's the first week of mercury's retrograde going? If you're feeling tired, strees, anxious, or feel the past is resurfacing, this is all part of retrograde. Communications, technologies, travels may feel as if not working in your favor the next few weeks. Things are going to resurface for us to be tested and re-evaluted. We need to address the things of our past and finally move forward from them. Things that you have been scared to address or process, things you have been using as a reason to hold you back and things inside yourself that has caged your desire to live. One of my personal favorite things about this time is the rest you notice you need. It is as if your body and mind are preparing for the coming action you will be propelled into. If you've been following me for awhile you know I talk about Retrogrades quite a bit. I have grown to accept them, not battle or fear them and eventually one starts to learn from them. But that's not what this entry is about. While it does stem from the retrograde theme, it is one subject I am very passionate about...mistakes.
We have become a society that forgets mistakes are invaluable to our education and experiences. If one is not born or taught a certain knowledge how can we expect them to produce something perfectly? How many of you have been in a class, job or relationship where making a mistake was unheard of? You are not alone. Most of these situations are because the person who is accusing your imperfections is projecting unaccounted mistakes onto you. How many of you heard the phrase, "don't make the same mistakes I did"? Or how many have said that to someone else? Instead rephrase the statement, "I experienced that same thing, this is what I learned from it". Feels a lot better right? Now use that in other situations and conversations where you felt belittled for your mistakes. Even go back into your childhood and revaluate the mistakes and how you learned and what you need to heal from them too.
If we didn't make mistakes we wouldn't understand the abundance of our successes.
