As we go through our lives we often want to quit when the going gets tough. I mean it's easier to blame than it is to forgive, it's easier to play victim than it is to take accountability. Speaking your truth is hard, being yourself is hard, living in the past is hard. But they don't have to be. We have the power within us to find ways to push past the muck and when we don't, the universe gives us exactly what we need. That's exactly what happened to me the past few days.
I have been taking a class to develop my healing and enhancing my coaching practice. It has accelerated things about me so fast that I barely have enough time to buckle my seat belt. When we go through our healing process things from our past surface, we face our darkest recesses of our mind and soul. It can be super scary. I've dealt with my depression, anxiety, pain, and fears again. What I have found through this is the amazing fact that, I can get through it. I have to keep fighting, I have to keep going. That's when it hit me, I have been strong all along even when I thought I wasn't. I'm here to tell you that you can too.
Things to do:
- Give yourself time and patience.
- Be kind to yourself when going through tough times, grow from them.
- Keep a journal
- Take yourself on dates
- Get out in nature
- Take rest days
- Make a positive playlist and go walk around your city
- Take pictures of memories and paste them in your journal
- Have lunch at a cafe
