Don't you just love autumn? The colors, the weather, movies and the smells. I get so excited when October comes around. From October to December are some of my favorite times of the years. Yes I am that person that gets super excited for fuzzy boots, Apple cider and big sweaters in front of a fire pit. It is also the month I start to watch all of my seasonal movies from Hocus Pocus to White Christmas, signing along with all of the songs and getting excited about decorations. Another one of my favorite things about this time of year is, it is the time for planning and setting forth those plans. New beginnings and rekindling friendships, there is so much we can gain from this time of year. As we all open up our windows and feel the fresh breeze hit our faces, we can only imagine the blessings coming towards us. Amazing weather isn't the only thing hitting us, some wonderful seasonal produce and spices. Fall gives us the time to embrace healthier habits, healthier relationships and healthier self love. So take a walk, read a book and try some root vegetables. Don't forget to play in some leaves if you can.
Healthy things to enjoy in Autumn
Check out your local farmer's market: Getting to check out the local autumn harvest and even find some awesome goodies that you've never had before. Can't beat that! One of my favorite things I learned at I.N.N was always try new things.It was around this time last year when I tried and fell in love with unique root vegetables.The best part about a farmer's market, supporting your community.
Soup time: Soup is one of my favorite foods and as the weather cools down I can't help from making it my main course as often as I can. I even love to make it. If you are on my mailing list you'll get one of my favorite recipes on making soup at home. Not only is it healthier but you'll also be able to make it in bulk. That way you can freeze some and eat it later.
Drink Tea: There are so many benefits to drinking tea. From anti oxidants to detoxing tea's cover tons of health basics. Plus, when you find your favorite kinds it becomes an amazing love affair you'll never want to leave. I love drinking a cup of tea, sitting on my balcony and writing in my journal. Try a cup today!
Refocus your goals: Fall gives us a chance to burrow up and refocus on everything we want to achieve. Reevaluate your intentions, and create an action plan on how you're going to achieve them.
Get some rest: Who doesn't love sleep? As the days get shorter follow the natural rhythm of things and go to sleep a little bit earlier, and waking up with the sun. This helps to reset our bodies and internal clocks. The extra hours of sleep will do wonders for your immune system, your energy levels, your ability to concentrate, and even your metabolism.
Get out in nature: Going outside and connecting with nature is just one of the many wonders of Autumn. The colors, the cool weather and the energy that just gets us motivated to enjoy the outdoors. Go on hikes and walks and get out in the fresh air before winter settles in. Getting out and becoming more active helps raise energy levels, helps us to sleep better, loose weight and more. Plus with the hibernating and holiday times coming up, its nice to get fresh air now.

Make a feel good playlist and drive around with the windows down
Make a bucket list for the month
Sit outside and read your favorite book
Make homemade bread and soup
Start a new hobby
Take long walks around the city
Take a road trip with your best friends
Create a powerpoint of you and your significant other, (silly pictures a plus) and reminisce together over coffee
Open the windows and just lay in bed listening to your favorite music
Make a wish list and release it into the universe
Dance in the moon light
Have a slumber party with your friends
Pick a pumpkin and come home and carve it
Start that project you've been procrastinating on
Fall haul your place: remove items that no longer serve you, deep clean and organize your space and air it out

Go outside and collect leaves and do something creative with them. This chick makes amazing roses out of hers!
Most importantly have fun, let go, relax, dream, plan, and enjoy these amazingly beautifully filled days.
