Have you wanted to take the leap of faith and move forward with your life, career or relationships but fear is holding you back? I felt the same exact way. We have all been in the position of fear and taking the risk, why, because we are afraid of failure. I have worked with so many people like myself that are afraid of both failure and even afraid of success.
“Many of life's failures are people who did not realize how close they were to success when they gave up.” ― Thomas A. Edison
I grew up in a family of successful people. Both of my parents achieved amazing things in their lives and they are still doing it as we speak. One of the many things I have learned through them is that you must always keep going even if you fail. Failure is just another stepping stone to achieve education and experience in your life. I promise even the greats have failed.
“I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.” ― Thomas A. Edison
Taking the risk can lead to amazing opportunities and they come to us all the time. That is the beauty of trusting the universe. Opportunities will rise but it up to us to take them, always look for the opportunity in something. Last night a friend of mine asked me to pull a card for her from my Oracle deck, she wanted to have guidance and focus during her full moon ceremony. The card that I pulled was "Risk", a card of moving forward and choosing a path. It is one of the best cards I have ever pulled for her, why, because it was also good for me too.
I need to remind myself of my goals and dreams just like everyone else. It is this reason that I decided to write this blog and tell you all of my progress. I am just like you, I am looking for a better future. It is my dream to help women succeed and live out their dreams. So the most important thing is for me to do that for myself. I have received an amazing opportunity and I am continuing to receive amazing blessings left and right.
The reason I am coming up front and center in telling you these things is because I do not like to bs anyone, and want to lead by example. I want to be living proof that you can achieve anything when you set your mind to it. I want you to be there every step of the way from just starting out, to publishing my books and even one day being on TV. That is a risk I am taking today, being honest and keeping it real. I recently took the leap to dive fully into my career and I am receiving amazing gifts from the universe. I just keep saying, "I am a magnet for opportunities and I continuously receive blessings from the universe."
So in conclusion I want to remind you that you don't have to stay stuck in your life, make plans and take that leap of faith and always remember I am here for you. Together we can do incredible things, I promise you that. Stay tuned for more blogs on the horizon and even more exciting news. Stay focused and stay grateful. You too can achieve greatness!
Today marks the start of fall, nice weather, beautiful colors, spices and my personal fave fuzzy boots. Each fall brings new wishes, dreams and destinies across its breezes and it is one of my favorite times of the year. I always feel as if new beginnings come to us during this time. As the weather cools down we prepare our home for the coming winter months.
Fall isn't just about cool weather and pumpkin spice flavors, fall is a time to renew. It is a great time to get ready to shift your life into high gear and plan. get outside and enjoy the colors, the weather and gather inspiration for projects. Gather energy from the world around you, see all the beauty that lays in the world. This is a perfect time to reflect on your own powers and vibrate even higher. Use this time to give yourself, your space and your goals a fall haul. A fall hall is super similar to a Spring clean with less pollen. Get rid of the old, that which does not serve you and toxic relationships. Then settle down with a good book and a cup of tea and enjoy fall.
Helpful tidbits & tips
Surviving Mercury Retrograde
Many of you have probably read my blogs on Mercury Retrograde and its effects. It has always had a strong hand on me and I drastically feel its effects. For some of you it might not do anything to you as for others you might be walking around thinking, "what in the heck!" When mercury is in retrograde it hinders several thing including; communication, technology, energy, transportation and even relationships. But you don't have to be victim to it's down sides, you can actually thrive during this time period. Here's some ways how:
Retrograde is a time to "re"- review, reenergize, research, relationships, etc. The only thing not to do is react.
Write down your priorities and a time line to get them down, give yourself an extra day for completion.
Take time for self care and rest. When Mercury goes into retrograde we often feel extremely tired. If you feel tired, don't push yourself, take a moment
If you are signing any contracts, writing any documents, making deals, always remember to review, review, review.
You might have things come to the surface; old wounds, past issues, things that need to be healed. Acknowledge them but do not dwell, they surface so you can release and grow from them.
spend time with loved ones and friends, but most importantly spend time with yourself.
Reassess your life, dreams, goals, and even your wardrobe.
Utilize the new energy that accumulates during this time.
Mercury retrograde isn't all bad, we tend to dread it because it comes out of nowhere, hits us hard and effects us all differently. A lot of times you will here people complaining about others inconsistency and spaciness during this time. You might even here the words lazy and lack of gumption. Just know that we all could use a little helping hand now and then. Especially ourselves. Be gentle and patient with yourselves.
Self care tips and how to beat a cold
One of the most amazing things about being a health coach and learning the in's and out's of staying healthy is the fact that I very rarely get sick.
The last time I had a cold was over a year and a half ago. i almost hit the two year mark until the other day when my boyfriend came home from work feeling icky. I have been out of commission for the three days and look like the walking dead.
But that doesn't mean I have to succumb to the miserableness that usually comes with a cold. Here are some of my super helpful tips on how to knock out a col faster than ever:
Always drink or take your vitamin C, this helps to boost your immune system and keeps your energy levels working to help your body fight off the cold.
Get plenty of rest, I can not stress this enough, if you feel tired, take a nap. sleep helps rid a cold.
Drink lots of water
get outside for at least 20 minutes, the sun will help clear out the "yucky" stuff
Eucalyptus and peppermint essential oils help to decongest your sinuses. They make inhalers with these oils in them to make it easier
tissues with lotion on them helps to lessen the redness on your nose
Eat healthy and light, things like soups and salads will help with hydration and replenishing your system
wash your hands and keep surfaces clean
make sure to take your multi vitamins
eating carrots, cucumbers, lettuce, kale, sea weed and berries as snacks will help reduce body temperature, hydrate and boost your immune system.
Here is my recipe for my magical elixir that helps me to rid the cold in as little as two days:
On large glass of orange juice
spoonful of minced garlic
dash of paprika, cayenne pepper and turmeric
drink full glass and repeat three times daily, make sure to have your tissues with you

I am living proof of how taking a risk into something can prove to be rewarding. Since then I have been receiving messages, emails, texts and even on social media about the school, what I learned and if it could add to others careers. It got me thinking on writing some of it down so many more good see the wonderful benefits of how Integrative Nutrition can change their life!
Many of you have been interested in becoming a health coach but aren't sure about where and how to start. They not only teach you about health and wellness but they show you the path to success, finding your niche and how to start your own business.
I've decided to create a list with the top five ways Integrative has improved my life, even though I could list dozens. This will help give you an idea on what you'll learn and accomplish for those that have been interested in going.
Transform health: You will become your own Health Coach and improve the diet of you and your loved ones. You’ll learn how to find the right balance of foods for your body, sleep better, and become less stressed. The training and the assignments apply directly to you, making you happier and healthier week by week. You will learn how to implement the changes gradually so that you create new habits leading to a lifetime of health and abundance.
Improve relationships: The program focuses on lifestyle factors and their effects to your overall health and wellbeing. You will learn about the main focus of the program, primary food. Primary food centers around your career, relationships, spirituality, and physical activity. You’ll learn how to balance out these areas, and how to communicate more effectively. Many people develop deeper bonds with their loved ones, let go of unhealthy relationships, and make life-long connections with the like-minded people.
Expand business: If you’re already working in the health and wellness field, health coaching is the perfect add-on. It added to my life coaching practice and even helped encouraged me to create my very own products. This is a great addition for life coaches, doctors, personal trainers and yoga instructors who want to help their clients and expand their services. While you support your clients to clean up their diet, you’ll also learn how to coach them through their emotional eating habits so they can place less emphasis on food and focus on finding happiness in the other areas of their life.
Get clear on achieving goals: If you know you want to improve your health or you aren’t satisfied in your current profession. Your life could be better, but maybe you don’t know what steps to take. Chakra, or wheel, is an energy center in our body which energy flows and is continuously spinning. The Chakras connect our physical body to our energetic body. When the Chakras are balanced and free flowing of energy, we feel energetic, positive, happy and enriched. When are Chakras are blocked, we become, sluggish, sick and negative.

So if you were wondering what's been going on lately to say I was busy the past couple of weeks would be an understatement. Moving, graduating, taking the leap of faith with my career, and even starting to write a book! Holy cow!
Two weeks ago we dropped off our keys to suburbia and came bursting into the city with ambition, motivation and purpose. I don't know what it is but I just feel so alive here. I will always have a place in my heart for the family farm and a huge love for nature, but there's something about the hustle and bustle that just draws me in.
Though my extensive moving experience, I have gathered some helpful tips on making your move smooth. With the help from my amazing Virgo-tastic boyfriend I was able to execute my plans and we were done in just a few hours.
My simple moving tips to make things easier:
Research apartments 3-4 months in advance. We used an awesome service called ProMove, they do all the searching & make the appointments
Go through room by room and organize piles: to throw away, give away, donate and keep.
Begin the search for boxes about two months ahead of time.
Make a moving list: things to sell, store, when to have packed by, completed and special instructions.
Create an event on fb/social media. This helps friends to know what is going on, directions and easy access to communication.
Pack room by room.
Schedule your move in date one week earlier than your move out from your old place.
Label your boxes.
If you are scheduling movers make sure to hire a company with great reviews.
Stay calm and stay focused.
On your moving day give your friends tasks, that way you won't have to pause and tell someone what to do.
I can't believe it, has it really been a year already? Graduating from I.N.N. seems so surreal to me right now. Finishing this amazing program and meeting such wonderful people has been such a blessing. I have learned so many wonderful new things to add to my life, from Primary foods to clean eating and even how to market my own business. How cool is that?
I have studied over a dozen different dietary theories, effective ways to stay active and my favorite, bio-individuality. We are all different and require different needs to stay healthy. I am able to deconstruct individual cravings and design meal and exercise plans according to the individual.
As my end of the year celebration event came to a close I couldn't help but to be emotional. I am proud of putting myself first and going for my dreams, as well as everyone in my graduating class. It takes a lot for us to step outside of our comfort zone and take a chance on a new experience. I am so honored to be a part of such a wonderful school and group of people trying to make the world a better place.
I will take away so much from this experience and share with as many people as I can. The Institute for Integrative Nutrition has prepared me for my future and I am excited to help do that for others.
My top list of things I've learned this year:
Primary foods and the importance of creating happy and healthy relationships
How to successfully run a business
Marketing tactics and organization
Hundreds of Dietary theories
Eating clean and detoxes
The Importance of exercise
Stepping outside my comfort zone
and so much more!!!!
