Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken
I have always considered myself a free spirit, a wild heart. One runs her life like the wind and river, always changing and ever flowing. I have always been labeled a rebel of sorts. I am not one who enjoys been told what to do or how to live my own life. I want to experience my life for me and no one else.
When I was younger I used to ride my horse through the woods, racing through the trees. Most of the time without a saddle and enjoying the freedom that horses offered me. It was like flying, unafraid of being hurt or falling. I will always remember that feeling.
Wild hearts can't be broken. They can hurt, and they can scar, but they are able to pick up the pieces and sew them back on. Pushing forward ready for their next chapter. Wild hearts are dreamers, free spirits, and magical. Wild hearts will always stand up for what they believe in, speak their truth, push forward even when it hurts, never gives up on their dreams, stand up for those they love and help to lead others.
Ways to encourage your wild heart:
Loose a battle, not the war!
We all face difficult times in our lives, we all have bad days. One thing I know for certain is, the more you celebrate the good times the easier it is forget the bad. Still, it doesn't exclude the times that we loose the battles. The times we may mess up, loose hope, fall to pieces..you or just feel as if our world is crashing all at once.
Life is messy and it will hand you lessons, struggles, miracles, dreams and everything in between,. That is one of the best parts of being human, we get to experience it all. Life is also about balance, everything has an opposite. Hot/cold, love/hate, fire/water, good/.bad, pleasure/pain.
We must always remember to keep fighting. Stay strong and don't quit when we fail. When we fail it gives us a second chance to become stronger. It's okay to mess up or fall apart, it's how we find out what we're capable of becoming. Look in your past up until where you are now. Look how far you have come. Now look back five years ago. Where were you? What were you going through at the time? Did you ever think you would make it this far?
Something do when I am going through a period of disbelief is to write a letter to my younger and future self. Think about it. What would you say to yourself if you could go back in time? What would you ask your future self? They even have websites that you can email your self. I found this one: Future Me! Try it out.
I'm still standing - Sing
Last night I watched the movie sing. Super cute and filled with tons of real issues that we all have struggled through. Insecurities, unworthiness, choices, and doing what's right. Also has some pretty funny humor in it as well. The movie also had a great soundtrack with something for everyone. Each character fitting to the songs they sang.
I have always loved how songs can change our moods, bring back memories and inspire us to live. As y'all know this past year has been a series of up's and downs. Through it all I have come out alive and ready to fave the storms once again. One of my favorite songs in the movie was, "I'm still standing." I have been jamming to that all day today. No matter what happens I'm still standing, I'm still strong. Check out the movie and its soundtrack.
What are some of your favorite songs that inspire you? Do you make playlists?
